Full description
I have made this tote bag using a furnishing weight fabric. Floral on a subdued blue background. This fabric was backed with fusible fleece to give it more body. There is a clever insert of blue and white spotted cotton at the top which can be drawn up with the black cord when needed to make a 'lid' for the bag and could be made extra secure by tying the cords in a bow if you wanted. The ends of the cords are finished with little fabric tabs.
Lined with the spotty fabric too. Inside there are three slip pockets on one side and I have added a D ring to the other side so that you can slip your yarn through if you want to knit from the bag.
Measures approximately 35cm across the top, and is 28cm high. The loops of each handle measures about 40cm, having a drop of about 17cm
The bottom of the bag has been boxed at the corners so that it has a flat base and the base has been stiffened so that the bag will stand up on it's own. At the base the bag measures 22cm across and 12cm deep.
Topstitched in blue thread.
This bag is an adaptation of a pattern called Marta from Burgio. Perfect for a project bag and lots of other uses too.
This item is one of a kind and ready to ship. I use second class post in order to keep postage as low as possible and will usually post same or next day as your order. Your item will be wrapped in new tissue paper whilst I will use recycled outer packaging if possible.
