Full description
Fused glass decorative dish, in glossy black with a striking red and white pattern, formed by 'tack fusing' thin rods of coloured glass onto a base sheet. Once cool, the sheet is cut into precise triangles which are arranged into a square, then overlaid with triangles of clear glass and surrounded with a border of opaque black glass, and fused again. As the stack of glass softens and flattens during the fusing process, the rods are distorted into this pleasing curved pattern. The resulting flat blank is then kiln-fired for a third time to achieve the dish shape.
Ideal for trinkets or just for display.
The dish measures 12cm square and has a maximum depth of 2.5cm.
