I wanted to make a quilt for a kid's bedroom that wasn't a traditional patchwork design or pastel shades. The bold shapes of rockets and planets are very appealing, then I found the blue Ruby Star fabric and the plan came together.

Full description
A single bed quilt featuring a rocket, an alien and a starry blue background to inspire young astronauts and bedtime stories. There’s a blue and white speckled print on the reverse and spotted edging.
Made in cotton with medium-weight batting, it adds a layer of warmth in the winter and is light enough to use instead of a duvet in summer. It has been washed with non-bio laundry liquid.
Matching cushions are available in two sizes – 50 cm square and 80 cm square floor cushion.
Machine stitched, hand-pieced and hand-finished.
Single bed size, 140 x 200 cm.
Made with 100% cotton fabric and polyester ric rac braid.
Hypoallergenic medium weight batting, 50% cotton, 50% bamboo.
Wash on a cool temperature, do not tumble dry (to avoid the batting shrinking and moving).
Please note: the alien cushion in image 5 is not included.
