I captured this landscape image in November 2021, during an early winter snowfall. Late in the afternoon, the blue hour light picked out the silhouette of this bare-branched tree against the heavy winter sky beautifully. I noticed the tree's recently shed leaves were still floating in the water in their autumnal shades, which created a beautiful sense of the seasons turning.

'In Blue' - Winter Canal Scene
Square greetings card featuring my original photograph of a wintry snowscape on the Leeds Liverpool Canal, near Saltaire in West Yorkshire. The late afternoon winter sky, caught and thrown back by the surface of the canal, with the snowy field beyond in its blue-and-white hue, contrasted beautifully with the tree's recently shed autumn leaves still floating in the water. A real turning-of-the-seasons shot, perfect for any nature lover.
The card measures 14.5 x 14.5cm (6in square) and is blank inside for your message. Printed by a specialist printing service on 300gsm quality card, silk finished on the outside and matte on the inside. Each card comes with a white envelope, packaged in a protective compostable cello wrap.
