We love a sustainable act, and nothing feels as good as mending your favourite clothes. How do you go an extra sustainable step? You buy vintage 100% wool that I rescued, washed, dyed and wrapped around a card that was lovingly painted with ink, and put it to good use fixing the holes in your socks or jumper! I always say that they don't make things like they used to, and it's certainly true of this yarn. Estimated 50 years old, it's as good as the day it was made and it deserved better than getting binned by the charity shop!
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Vintage tapestry wool, rescued from almost certain destiny of landfill, hand-dyed with love and absolutely perfect for your next visible mending project! Sustainably sourced and ready for your next sustainable project.
I feel passionately about doing what we can for the planet and mending clothes is one of my favourite small ways of making a difference. With this in mind, I have created a range of beautifully dyed 100% wool yarns which can be used as they are, or split down into finer threads for daintier projects. These yarns are also a brilliant way of adding a pop of colour to your next knitting or crochet project.
The yarns are dyed in small batches, all on different original base colours, so there is a beautiful range of colour depth and variation across each individual length. They are a true one off unique product. Please wash in cold water to avoid any possibility of felting and although I have rinsed the wool thoroughly, some very minimal dye run off may occur.
The picture shows the exact yarn you will be sent as well as the length displayed on the typed label, the listing is for the yarn wound around the card only, and any other items shown in the pictures such as the speedweave are photography props and not for sale. Every effort has been made to capture the colour accurately but please bear in mind that all screens display uniquely.
