I had the opportunity to buy a whole bin liner full of vintage tapestry yarns, they were destined for the charity shop and most likely landfill when they didn’t sell. I love mending clothes and thought this yarn would be absolutely perfect. Although it’s almost 50 years old, it’s as good as new. They don’t make things like they used to!! The colours weren’t to my taste, so I’ve dyed the yarn by hand using acid dyes.

Full description
Approximately 12 metres of hand-dyed 100% wool yarn.
Sustainable and Ethically Sourced: vintage yarn bought secondhand, over dyed in small batches. Perfect for visible mending or small details like the toe of hand knitted socks.
Yarn has been rinsed carefully however some dye may still remain, wash in cold water to avoid felting.
