a sweet little trio of toxic toadstools, in bookmark form.
one of a little collection i made, as seen in group pics.
this bookmark was made using 640gsm khadi paper (a cotton rag paper handmade in india.)
i have added a variety of vintage writing, book and tissue papers, paint and inks, in thin layers, to create a grungy style background. the mushrooms were drawn on a separate piece of thinner khadi paper, and coloured with watercolour and metallic paints, before being cut out and then added as a final layer.
it measures roughly 16cm by 3.5cm, and has a simple black tassel made from soft cotton.
mushroom illustration on the front only, with collage, batch number and a little heart 'signiature' on the reverse.
a totally unique piece of handmade paper art for any mushroom and or book lover!
