There's something beautifully compelling in watching bees gathering pollen. The busy activity belied by their gentle lazy buzz evokes summer in an instant. Watching this bee make the most of wildflowers growing by a local pond, I wanted to capture the light reflecting off its tiny wings. Setting the bee in colour against a black and white background in post processing completed the image.

Square greetings card featuring my original photograph of a bumblebee gathering pollen on weeds. Image shows a fluffy bumblebee in colour on a plant featuring tiny white flowers. The background is black and white. The catchlight picks out the pattern detail on the bee's wings beautifully. The perfect card for any bee fan, insect afficionado or nature lover.
The card measures 14.5 x 14.5cm (6in square) and is blank inside for your message. Printed by a specialist printing service on 300gsm quality card, silk finished on the outside and matte on the inside. Each card comes with a white envelope, packaged in a protective compostable cello wrap.
