This did start off as a bookmark, but I didn't feel that something that takes so long to make should be hidden. Whilst rummaging through my vintage fabric stash for another item, I came across this vintage cross stitch grid pattern fabric piece and put the two together. I like the mix of the before and after. At a craft fair, a grandmother was explaining to her granddaughter that back in the day, purchased cross stitch patterns were grids printed onto fabric ( the GD spent ages looking at the grid printed fabric).

Framed in a shabby chic style white wooden frame hand embroidered cross stitch grey flowers strip mounted onto a vintage piece of cotton cross stitch pattern print grid fabric.
The wooden frame which has a small metal fixing for hanging. The frame has a glass front.
Approx measurements just under 8 x 8 inches (19.5cm x 19.5cm)
