Here I sell art prints of my original drawings and paintings, some original artworks and a small selection of hand embroideries.
I love creating, whether it's on paper or fabric and I'm inspired by many things, especially nature. I love small details and the meditative process of creating intricate details at a slow pace.
I love butterflies and moths- their colours and patterns, the delicate way they fly. Their life cycle. They are truly fascinating.
I called this design Butterfly Dance because the way the butterflies are scattered around the flowers and leaves is like a frenzied dance. The butterflies and moths here are all made up creations, I wanted to create the essence of them rather than a life like representation.
I wanted it to be an explosion of pattern and movement, your eye constantly moving with the dance.
The original took many hours, starting with a pencil layout, then moving on to the black ink pens, adding grey watercolour areas, adding more ink details and then finally adding highlights with gold watercolour.
It was a theraputic piece for me making repetitive dot marks and scribbles, creating swirls and tiny leaf shapes, filling in the space, playing with light and shadow.

A 12x9 inch (310mm x 230mm) black and white Giclee art print hand finished with gold watercolour details.
Taken from my original drawing created in black fine liner pens with grey and gold watercolour.
This Giclee print is on high quality Hahnemuhle German Etching 310gsm matt paper, which has a watercolour paper textured finish.
This print is hand finished with gold watercolour details, therefore each print will be unique in these areas.
