Also known as Anyolite, meaning green in the native Maasai tongue, most Ruby in Zoisite came originally from Tanzania.
The green elements are Zoisite, the deep pink is Ruby and the black is Hornblende.
The Ruby found in Anyolite is not of gem quality. It has a good colour, but shatters if cut.

Full description
Ruby-In-Zoisite 6mm bead necklace with a centrepiece of three 8mm quality Austrian crystal flowers in fuchsia pink, highlighted with sterling silver.
Ruby in Zoisite is a rock from Tanzania that combines beautifully coloured raspberry pink Ruby within green Zoisite, along with some inclusions of black Hornblende.
Although the Ruby has a good colour, it is too brittle to be cut into individual gemstones, so is left in the Zoisite.
I have added a few 4mm Austrian crystal bicones, set between 5mm cream shell beads and highlighted with sterling silver spacers.
Their Fuchsia colour is an excellent match for the Ruby.
Ruby is the birthstone for July and the stone for the 40th wedding anniversary.
The piece is finished with a Tibetan silver toggle clasp.
This necklace measures approximately 16 inches (41cm).
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a pretty organza gift bag.
