My nature guide collection began when my children were at primary school and I wanted to help educate them on the natural world around them. I had read an article about the decline of nature and how lack of knowledge and understanding of the natural world from an early age plays a big part. When people grow up not knowing the names of things, they are unlikely to care about those things. That drove me to start creating a set of designs to use as cards and wall art, that are visually appealing and help put names to the wildlife and plants around us. The collection has continued to grow over the years and I have plans for many more, because what I have learned most of all from creating this collection (and I have learnt a lot!)…that others care deeply about our natural environment too!
