Full description
I love reusing vintage items and when I found this wonderful vintage embroidery commemorating the 1951 Festival of Britain I was wildly excited. It had been framed and is in the most wonderful pristine condition.
It is an outline map of Britain with small motifs depicting various areas of the country - a Beefeater for London, a bagpiper in Scotland, a harpist in Wales, a bust of Shakespeare with lots of other items, oh and a mermaid in the channel!
I have hand stitched it onto a new Tote bag.
This is a one of kind item.
The embroidery measures 8.5 x 13 ins.
