This piece was created to experiment with different mediums to my usual style. It was all about playing with ink and paint using designs I had already created as line drawings that were coloured digitally. This time it was all about the joy of getting messy and playing with colour and I loved it!

Original, one of a kind painting of a little Wren perched in the Hawthorn Blossom.
Painted by Angie Spurgeon in May 2025, this piece comes signed. It was created with a dip pen and ink line drawing mixed with watercolour and gouache for a colourful and unique painting.
The style of the painting is rustic country cottage, the hand painted stripes on the picture mount complete the look.
Painted on 250gsm FSC watercolour paper, this painting measures 120 x 170 mm,
This listing is for an unframed, mounted piece where the mount is part of the art.
The overall size including the mount measures 200 x 250 mm - making it ready to fit straight into a standard 10x8" frame.
This painting will be shipped wrapped in a compostable cello, secure layers of card and tissue paper and posted in a hard backed envelope. It will be sent using Royal Mail's Special Delivery Guaranteed service.
