It's now definitely Xmas Shopping time! Folksy is packed full of fabulous gift ideas and of course SPOONS are at the top of my suggestions list - they are long-lasting, planet-friendly, practical, postable and can be personalised to make the perfect gift for anybody, whether it's a budget buy for the office secret santa, a stocking filler for your partner, a joke present for your best mate or a classy offering for those well-off rellies who have everything (tip: I bet they don't have one of my spoons).

Full description
A vintage dessertspoon (or small tablespoon) with a traditional fiddle pattern design and the following rude sweary wording: 'if you can't say anything nice' (in the bowl) and then an arrow pointing to the handle, where it says in tiny but perfectly clear block capitals AT LEAST USE A CREATIVE EXPLETIVE - NOT JUST 'F-CK'. I didn't have my reading glasses on though and so I stamped an L instead of the I in 'expletive' and then tried to correct it and only made it worse. So it's in the bargain bin in hopes that it might still make someone smile!
You will receive the spoon shown in the photos, error and flaws and wear marks and all. But don't get excited about the 'Nevada Silver' maker's stamp on the back, it's just a trade name for a particular nickel silver alloy (there was a period when manufacturers were experimenting with 'stainless' alloys that were cheaper to produce than the silver-plated versions and it was before there were advertising standards people to tell them not to use the word 'silver'). Being alloy it's never going to polish up as brightly as a silverplate or sterling spoon.
It's approx. 18.5cm long. Just about big enough to use as a serving spoon or ideal as a dessertspoon for anyone with a big mouth and limited vocabulary. Not suitable for children though.

The lettering is coloured black with a non-toxic, water-based acrylic ink. Wash by hand with care.
