My love for Edgar Allan Poe, known as the father of horror, was certainly my inspiration for this and much of my work. What was considered horror in his time, was nothing like what we know today. His writing was about mystery, love, loss and grief. If you haven't yet, I encourage to read some of his poems and short stories. Annabel Lee is a great place to start ;)

Full description
This classy 5x7 card (blank inside), is from my original painting based on one of my favorite poems my Edgar Allan Poe, "Annabel Lee." Poe was known for his somber writings of mystery and grief. This one is for all the Poe fans out there! I have added touches of glitter throughout the front of the card. The card is printed on thick cardstock and is cello wrapped, along with a kraft envelope and gold foil seal...for an added touch.
