Fancy learning how to make gorgeous lined curtains for your home?

This full day course will give you a fantastic start to making curtains for your own home. My gorgeous sunshine filled studio is located on the outskirts of Low Valleyfield, with free, on-site parking and accessible facilities.

You'll learn how to measure your windows, work out how much fabric you'll need to buy, understand pattern repeats and how that affects the fabric requirement and loads more. Maths is involved but don't worry - you'll be given a handout at the end of class to remind you of the process. We'll also look at lining and interlining and how to decide which to use.

We will consider different heading types and styles and how to use both commercial curtain tapes and what a handmade heading involves. We will also take a peek at using trimmings to add detail and a touch of your own unique style.

Included - use of studio tools and equipment, furnishing fabric and heading tape for your curtain sample and refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch.

Class size limited to 2 adults, and will run with a single booking.

You must be comfortable using a sewing machine. Studio machines are available but if you prefer to bring your own sewing machine, you're more than welcome to do so.
