I love animals and love the process of making these animal heads. I get a lump of clay in my hands and start to pull and shape. Quite soon, the clay takes an animal form and I go with it. This one took the form of an otter. Texture marks and eyes are marked into the clay before it is bisque fired. The otter has then been painted with watercolour underglazes and dipped in transparent glaze. It is then glaze fired.
