Full description
The Calaveras Necklace - I wanted to make a necklace that really messed with the vibe of a classic pearl necklace whilst keeping elements of that aesthetic. The resulting piece combines vintage graduated Japanese akoya pearls and bold glass sugar skull beads. The clasp is original to the pearls and made from solid sterling silver with marcasite. The clasp closes with a satisfying click, keeping the pearls lovely and secure. The pearls and beads are individually hand knotted.
This necklace measures approximately 55.5cm in length. Please check your own measurements to confirm desired fit and examine the photos of the necklace next to a centimetre ruler. Note that the necklace display mannequin is not life size.

About the pearls:
These are reclaimed vintage akoya saltwater cultured pearls from Japan from the 1960s/70s. Japanese akoya are the original and classic cultured pearls and are grown around a nucleus so they are very round.
Your jewellery will come packaged in a cotton and linen pouch and gift box made from recycled materials.
