Full description

A set of three hand stamped vintage silver plated cutlery items - a fruit spoon, a tea/coffee spoon and a cake fork - with the words CREAM FIRST, JAM FIRST and WHO GIVES A FORK. They have matching handles with a pretty floral and twisted rope detail on the ends.

My 2p worth to add to the great cream tea question! The answer varies depending on whether you're in Cornwall, Devon, or Dorset (or anywhere else)... for me it all depends on the relative consistencies of cream and jam, so whichever is thicker goes on the bottom. But then I was born in Birmingham, so what do I know?

This listing is for THREE items approx. 13cm long. The lettering is coloured black with a non-toxic water-based acrylic ink. Wash carefully by hand as the colour is not indestructible - the lettering, however, is stamped into the metal and should last pretty much as long as the spoon does.

These are vintage items so they do have a certain degree of wear and residual tarnish. Please study the photos with care as their purpose is to reveal any flaws rather than to hide them.

I can do other wording to order so if you have a better idea let me know and I'll see what I can do for you!
