A hint of Spring is in the air, time to think about the garden (even if you are still vacuuming bits of Xmas tinsel out of your carpets) and maybe plan something romantic as it’s less than a month until Valentine’s Day… please note that I’m not currently able to take custom orders, I have a shoulder issue that I need to sort out before I can start hammering again!

Full description
A hand stamped vintage nickel silver alloy tea spoon with wording inspired by Rene Magritte's masterpiece 'The Treachery of Images'. Is it or isn't it a spoon? Is it still a spoon if it says it isn't one? Is the inscription true, or not? Is it Art? Either way you can stir your tea with it so ultimately these questions are of purely intellectual interest. It's a classic 'fiddle pattern' teaspoon measuring approximately 13cm long. It's also a bit old and battered so I've added it to the bargain bin collection.
This would make a fun little gift for a tea-loving artiste or an art-loving tea drinker, or why not just treat yourself to a little bit of daftness to brighten your own day. Especially if you live or work with people who just wouldn't get the joke...
This listing is for ONE spoon. You will receive the spoon shown in the photographs. Please study the photographs with care if signs of ageing and wear on your spoons bother you, because this has plenty of both! The lettering is coloured with a non-toxic, water-based acrylic ink. Wash carefully by hand.
