Welcome to my Folksy shop. I design and make silver jewellery inspired by love for British wildlife and the natural landscape. My work combines a mixture of traditional silversmithing techniques alongside using silver clay, enamel and glass.
Everything has been designed and made by me in my little workspace and I hope it brings as much joy to those who wear it as it did to me whilst crafting.

I enjoy being outdoors in the countryside and growing up with parents interested in geography means I have always been fascinated by the landscape and natural landforms, so there is no surprise it has made its way into my jewellery. Mountains are timeless and although we have hills here in Sowerby we certainly don't have mountains! I love how the moon can connect us, wherever in the country we are we can see it.

This handcrafted teardrop shaped pendant hangs on an organic black cotton cord, complete with sterling silver end caps, making it is a more modern, contemporay look for a necklace. An ideal birthday gift for those like me interested in the landscape or who prefer a less formal look.
5cm high x 3.5cm wide, a chunky statement necklace or pendant
I work with a medium called Silver clay. This uses recycled, ground up particles of silver with an organic binder which can be shaped and textured before being fired.The Moonlit Mountains Pendant began life as a flat ceramic bead. It was then coated with 5 layers of silver clay. Once that dried I could then gradually building up the moonlit landscape you see using thin sheets of hand textured silver. It took about a week to construct, waiting for each layer to dry before I could move onto the next stage. After firing it was hand polished and the cord attached.
