Full description
A stunning green wool fabric, with a diamond weave in brown and grey yarns. Mid weight, this gorgeous material is ideal for general textile arts and crafts as well as dressmaking and costume making - I used this for Viking cloaks.
Quarter, half or full metre options - 2.5 metres still available as an uncut piece
The colours are beautiful - the warp yarns are a grey-green and brown, and they soften the bold, almost lime, green used for the weft, and give a purplish undertone in some lights.
This is a traditional tweed weave, the dyed yarns are woven together to create a diamond pattern that looks the same on the front and the back. From some angles, the pattern looks like little squares. It frays very nicely so you can create all sorts of decorative fringing, and the fluffy selvedge edge could also be used to great effect.
Composition: 100% wool
Width: 150cm / 60 inches
Care - wash on a wool cycle. Do not tumble. Iron on a wool setting, using a pressing cloth to avoid shine.
