My inspiration for Catharsis was to create an evening scent to unwind to after a long day. I love a cheeky bit of rum and the luxurious scents of oud and vanilla, so I blended those fragrances together with amyris essential oil, which is used for stress-relief in aromatherapy.

All Uhuru candles are made of soy wax, vegan and cruelty-free, and hand poured in small batches in London.

Uhuru Candles is committed to being as environmentally friendly as possible. We use sustainable non-GMO soy wax from ethical suppliers who do not contribute to deforestation. Our 70g tins are partially made of recycled metals and all of our postal packaging is recyclable. All of our suppliers are vegan, cruelty free, and UK based.
