This mug makes an ideal birthday or thank you gift for a lover of handmade pottery, tea, coffee or stripes! Pottery is also the traditional 9th wedding anniversary gift.
Thrown on my wheel, this pretty stoneware mug incorporates handpainted stripes in green and blue - kind of reminds me of my grandad’s pyjamas. I have 2 mugs available, please tell me if you’d prefer the taller / shorter version when ordering & see pics & dimensions below to compare.
Taking inspiration my love of patterns & stripes! I painted the mug after it’s first firing, then covered it in a glossy clear glaze & fired it again. A time consuming but very enjoyable process - I hope the joy I have in making comes across in each finished piece.

- These are smaller sized mugs, holding either 170 - 220ml of drink - as you can see, there’s 2 mugs, one shorter, one taller, please specify which you’d prefer when ordering - I have 1 available in each size only.
- Measurements (approx): height - 6.2cm (the shorter mug) or 7.5cm (the taller mug), diameter - 7.5cm.
- Can be washed in the dishwasher
Postage: My standard postage is via UK Royal Mail 48 Tracked. I will despatch 1-2 working days on receipt of your order. If you need another delivery option, please contact me first :-)
Packaging: All items come well packaged in sturdy cardboard boxes. I only buy paper based & recyclable packaging. So if your parcel contains any plastic (eg bubble wrap/foam) it is being re-used.
