At adult ed evening class last term we all painted a kingfisher, so I thought to make a bud vase, in the last photo you can see the quick sketch I did next to the "nail drying rack". Quite pleased, though it took too long, as always you think ten minutes then three days later.... either as a single at £18 (or as a matching pair... at £27...discount...they aren't quite exact copies, but that shows they were hand crafted!)

Full description
A small bud vase, using a plastic test tube to hold the water and the bud, supported in a block of pine that has been shaped like a kingfisher and finished with black spirit stain and then a flame red acrylic sanding sealer and lacquer, to allow the beauty of the wood grain to shine through.
