I created the cyanotype kit during lockdown as a way to share a really fun creative activity since then it's become my bestseller in my online shops. I'm an artist printmaker and teacher and taught photography for 18 years and cyanotype workshops were always a highlight of the year.

Full description

This cyanotype chemicals are for people looking to get into cyanotype printing or with some experience.

The technique is affordable and easy to use and is suitable for use by adults or with children with adult supervision.

There are three options (full kit, essentials mini kit and chemicals only. This is the listing for the chemicals only option)

2. CHEMICALS ONLY

Chemical A in bottle - add 65ml water

Chemical B in bottle - add 65ml water

Detailed instruction sheet

You can also choose to add 15 sheets of heavyweight cartridge paper 220gsm which works well with cyanotype.

As an experienced photography and art teacher making cyanotypes with my students was one of the highlights of the year.

Simply add water to the bottles, combine chemicals A & B, coat paper, dry in subdued light (e.g. in the evening or with curtains drawn). Wait for a bright or sunny day and place dried paper in the frame with with leaves/feathers etc outside and wait for the colour to change. Once exposed wash in water and watch your permanent blue print emerge.

I have a FAQ post on my website to address common questions or please get in touch as I'm always happy to talk about cyanotype!
