Garnet is the traditional birthstone for Capricorn and the month of January.
The term Garnet actually applies to a group of minerals that are related in composition and structure, but differ in colour.
The beads I have used here are Rhodolite Garnet with a rich, raspberry pink colour.
Legend has it that Garnets bring peace, health and prosperity into the home.
Warriors wore Garnets into battle as a talisman of protection, healers wore them to ward off disease, and Garnet later became regarded as a symbol of deep and everlasting friendship.
Garnet is also the stone for the second wedding anniversary.

Genuine Garnet bracelet featuring rows of five 3.5mm AAA grade faceted Rhodolite Garnet beads separated with 4mm frosted Onyx highlighted with 2mm smooth Onyx, sterling silver and copper beads.
I have added a centrepiece of a beautiful 5x5mm faceted Rhodolite Garnet pear highlighted with 2mm copper, sterling silver and Onyx beads.
The faceted beads are a deep raspberry colour with a lovely sparkle, emphasised by the bright copper and silver and the contrasting black Onyx.
Hand made in my home workshop, here in beautiful Devon UK, this would make a lovely gift for a birthday, especially a January birthday, anniversary, Mothers Day, Valentine's gift, or as a special treat for yourself.
This bracelet measures approximately 6.5 inches (16.5cm), perfect for a 5 inch (15cm) wrist.
I can usually alter bracelet sizes on request, please contact me before purchase for confirmation.
Your bracelet will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
