this necklace has 3 chunky fancy shaped lampwork beads created by me in my little Norfolk studio with little round blue glass beads and clear glass beads as spacers between the lampwork.
Each of the lampwork beads has a mid blue clear core of glass with a frit called 'Jellyfish' melted on and flame treated to give lots of different pastel colours; pink, blues, cream, purples, which have been encased in clear after swirling. The bead was then softened in the flame so it could be pressed into a baroque shape.
The central bead, in addition, has bumps of clear glass around the centre of the fancy shape.
central bead (excluding the bumps) measures 23mm in diameter x 20mm width, the beads either side are 20mm x 18mm.
The necklace is 18 1/2" in length, with the silver plated chain and heart shaped toggle and bar clasp. I can alter the length if you wish, please contact me for details and costings.
All my lampwork beads are digitally kiln annealed after shaping in the flame to give greater resilience and durability and once cooled I clean out the clay mandrel release thoroughly by hand reaming before I use them in my designs. The photos show the colour of the beads as accurately as possible, however, there could be slight variations in shade depending on your monitor. Remember that these are individually handcrafted so may have small imperfections or variations between each one, which makes each of my beads beautifully unique!
