Reloving Unloved Toys - This Kewpie face was so cute, and cheeky that I had to give her a new life! I repaired her, sculpted a hat with bunny ears, then made my own mould, so that I could share her with you. Maybe you agree that all Kewpies need a special hat?

Full description
Dottie Dollie Yellow Kewpie Pin Brooch is a handmade recreation of a real broken antique doll head from my collection. Her original head is dirty and unloved, having been discarded and buried as rubbish almost a hundred years ago.
I cleaned & repaired her face, then modelled a cute bunny hat. I made a mould so that I could share her with you.
Kewpie Bunny is hand cast in resin, making her light and durable to wear. She was carefully hand-painted with acrylic paint and soft pastels, and has a gently aged finish.
This Kewpie has a pale yellow bunny hat, up glancing eyes, and a cheeky smile. She has been gently aged, before being sealed with several coats of spray sealer for final protection.
The brooch fastens with a 20mm safety pin, which has been securely attached with epoxy glue.
Like all jewellery she should be removed before swimming, protected from heavy showers of rain, creams, perfumes, potions and lotions.
She will come to you on a gift card, as shown, you will receive the exact brooch shown in the first four photos.
