.925 Sterling silver earrings. Hand saw pierced seed of life, or flower of life imagery, with hanging amethyst drops.
The Seed of Life is a common symbol in the concept of sacred geometry, interlocking circles who's patterns mimic cell division. It is found in cultures all over the world. I was directly inspired by seeing the seed of life carved into monuments when visiting Ancient Greek Historical sites in Athens.
The amethysts are such beautiful stones, and they are traceable and ethically sourced from the fairtrade seller Gemstones Brazil. They're cut into an unusual cabochon bell shape with a faceted top and a flat back. I have bezel set them with decorative beaded gallery wire and an open saw pierced back to allow the light through.
These earrings were an absolute labour of love and are probably the piece of jewellery I have made which I am the most proud of in my entire jewellery making experience.

Gemstone: 1.8mm x 1.2m at largest points
These earrings will be delivered in a recycled jewellery box sealed with purple wax.
