I bought this stone as i've never seen one like it before - the mottled colours of browns are really intriguing and bound to attract attention. Setting it in a simple Sterling silver frame allows as much of the stone as possible to be on view and i love that you can see straight through a small area of it when held up to the light.

This fabulous stone has layers of translucent colours and i think it feels like gazing into a deep pool of mottled browns, greens and dark purple with copper overtones that glint in the light. Everytime i look at it, i see more detail – it really is a beauty. It was sold to me as Gem Silica which is also know as “Chrysocolla Chalcedony” and i think it’s an example of Chrysocolla & Native Copper which comes from Indonesia.
To compliment it, I’ve hand set it an elegant chunky Sterling silver frame – deliberately understated to let this amazing stone do all the talking. I’ve cut a pattern on the back that allows the light to permeate through and show off that the a small part of the top left of the stone is completely translucent.. not that you can tell when it being worn.. it’ll be your little secret.
Every element of this fabulous pendant has been handmade by myself from scratch, other than the stone itself. It comes with a Sterling silver necklace of which you can choose either 16 or 18 inch length.
