Inspiration was developing a new shape using bodice ties. Pattern pieces created from a bodice-sleeve shape taken from a dress top. Bodice was adapted to accommodate a front lace up. I had purple taffeta longing to be used, so finding purples in navy-purple viscose prints gave the rich colour theme for patchworks.

Exotic kaftan styled leisure dress in purple taffeta and navy floral printed viscose patchwork: has unique deep long sleeved design with self fabric lace up adjustable front to fit bust 36-40 inches. Lined in purple linen and purple polyester. Front patch pocket. Front and back patchworks gathered into high waistline gives ample width skirt. Length 40 inches.
