Full description

Perfect for layering, this simple sterling silver pendant is made from an 8mm non-magnetic hematite bead. The hand wrapped sterling silver wire forms a dainty knot around the bead. It is finished with an 18" sterling silver trace chain ready for wearing or gifting. This hematite is a beautiful gunmetal grey with a subtle glossy finish. It measures approximately 19 mm high including the jump ring by 10 mm wide. Please check all sizes carefully as I use close up photography to show the details of my work.

Each pendant I make is slightly different due to the nature of hand wrapping and characteristics of natural gemstones so there may be slight variations between the illustrative photos and the finished item you will receive. I will instinctively hand select a beautiful bead and your pendant will be made to order, just for you.

The name hematite comes from the Greek word "haima" meaning blood. The high iron content of the stone meant it could be ground up to form a red pigment and it was used by warriors to paint their bodies before battle to give them courage and strength. Crystal collectors believe hematite to be an excellent grounding and balancing stone, helping the bearer to find their centre and to repel negative energy.

All my jewellery comes in a high quality gift box, finished with tissue and ribbon. Matching items are available to purchase separately.
