Introducing my hand made, hardwood Slate Frames the perfect companion for your embroidery or tapestry projects. Made in my workshop in the West Pennine Moors of Lancashire, these are extra large for your biggest projects
Made from solid Beech - the traditional choice and best choice for this size
These are my largest sizes and are RECTANGULAR, not square. This is because it is very difficult to work on a piece deeper than 91cm (36") deep and normally the extra fabric will be rolled around one of the large top bottom pieces. I can make a square frame as a special order but that will be a very big frame.

I also offer the following sizes in different listings, 8" (20cm), 12" (30cm), 15" (38cm), 18" (46cm), 24" (61cm), 30" (76cm) or 36" (91cm). Postage charges are different for the larger frames which is why they are in separate listings. All my items are made to order which is why I can offer a wide range of options.
Designed for convenience & practicality, my slate frames are strong & sturdy but they can be easily disassembled. Complete with split pins, these frames are best supported on a set of my larger trestles.
