Introducing my hand crafted, hardwood Slate Frames the perfect companion for your embroidery or tapestry projects. Made in my workshop in the West Pennine Moors of Lancashire, these frames are available in a range of sizes to suit your needs: 8" (20cm), 12" (30cm), 15" (38cm) in this listing
I also offer the following sizes in different listings, 18" (46cm), 24" (61cm), 30" (76cm), and 36" (91cm). Postage charges are different for the larger frames which is why they are in separate listings. All my items are made to order which is why I can offer a wide range of options.
Choose from a selection of hardwoods, cherry, beech or walnut. The frames are carefully finished with several layers of varnish, ensuring both durability and a touch of elegance.
Frames up to 24 inches have interchangeable parts, creating a rectangular frame if preferred. The 30-inch and 36-inch frames, crafted from thicker wood, can swap places with each other, but not with the smaller sizes.
Each frame comes complete with stainless steel split pins (4 pins plus 1 spare) and attached webbing. The size specification refers to the length of the webbing and the maximum width of fabric that can be accommodated. Additionally, the frames allow for the use of feet to stand clear of the table or they fit perfectly on my trestles.
