Full description
A small and affordable sculpture of a May Bug, (or cock chaffer), on an oak leaf in sturdy high fired stoneware clay. Life like colouring from underglazes which are then deepened with a wash of copper oxide to give a more antiqued look. Each one is individually made and then hand painted by me, and no two are entirely the same. These can hang up in four directions, using in built thonging made of stainless steel and polypropylene, which will not rot and will not rust. They can also be cemented into place as part of an architectural feature. They are frost proof and weather proof and will not rock around in the wind, being sturdily built and 3cm thick. They measure 12cm x 12cm, (4 34" x 4 34"), and are heavy enough to withstand any gale.
