British wildlife porcelain decorations, brooches & bronzes. Ancient Goddesses and Feminist History pieces too.

I share a studio with potter Lea Phillips close to the sea in Weymouth, Dorset. Our bricks and mortar studio-shop is called The Happy Crab Gallery, as we are both Cancerians and work just 2 mins walk from the sea.

I make sculptures, decorations and brooches of British wildlife in stoneware clays and porcelain as well as bronze. I am a big fan of rewilding, and I have campaigned for more than a decade against the badger cull, aware of the ecological disaster it is bringing via the badger trophic cascade. I find the interdependence of nature and natural processes endlessly fascinating.

I have researched matriarchal history and forgotten Goddesses since the early 1980's and taught lesbian history. Some of the Goddesses I sculpt go back to the beginning of settled civilisation and are the oldest deities in the world.

I live with the best kitty in the world, who brings me joy, and impresses me every day with how clever, strong, brave and lovely she is.
