I love embroidery, to be honest I don't get time to do very much of it but when I do I really put the hours in! If I costed this by hours of stitching it would be hundreds and hundreds of pounds, but I've made this one just for the joy of stitching.

Many enjoyable hours of tiny stitches went into this hand stitched, embroidery designed by me, a tribute to my much loved snoods.
The girl's hair is a blend of colours so that as you move past the embroidery, you'll see a subtle change in her hair colour, depending on which angle you look at it. It's a nice effect if I do say so myself!
It's backed with a pretty yellow felt, so if it did happen to flick round, you still see all the pretties. Her hair is styled into victory rolls and is actually quite similar to the way that I wear my own hair.
The framed embroidery measures 6" inches across.
The background fabric that the embroidery stitched on is a vintage remnant of white polycotton, printed all over with a really pretty white on white floral design.
