I was a carpenter for all my working life, unfortunately i developed severe arthritis about 8 years ago, which forced me to retire, so to keep me busy i started to carve and make things in my home workshop, my collection of spoons etc started to grow, so my daughter suggested i try to sell some, i did plan to go out in my campervan to craft fairs etc, but as you all know the weather is flipping awful, and cold wet weather do not go well with Arthritis, i may still do that, but for now here i am on Folksy.

Hand Carved Rustic Wooden Eating Spoon. 0023
Carved from Wild Cherry.
Measurements--approx 275mm long, 49mm Wide.
Dark red distressed handle, the spoon then finished with 3 coats of Danish Oil, which not only gives the spoon a lovely hard wearing finish, it is also food safe.
My spoons are carved and finished by hand, they are rustic and do have carving marks, but this only adds to its charm and rusticity.

Great for cereal, soup, curries or a nice bowl of stew on a cold wet day.

Care Instructions
Hand wash only in warm water, do not soak or clean with a strong kitchen sanitizer.
Do not put in a dishwasher.
Stick to the above care instructions and this spoon will last you a long time, occasionally it may need a thin coat of food safe oil, this just depends on how much use it gets.
