Drawing from my love for collage, I took a unique approach to my book's illustrations, aiming to create a visual narrative that resonates with children. I incorporated elements that remind readers that life is not always perfect; it is filled with lumps, bumps, and wobbles. Each character, including Tigby, has their quirks, which symbolise the fact that everyone is unique and that our imperfections are what make us special. The letters in my illustrations are individually cut, each carrying a slight wonkiness that adds to the charm of the story. With each turn of the page, Tigby invites readers of all ages to embark on a journey filled with creativity and inspiration.
