Tatted lace snowflake Christmas ornament.
Hand tatted snowflake using metallic thread around a traditionally crafted Dorset button.
Measurements: 9.5cm (3.74”)

What is tatting?
Tatting is a technique for handcrafting durable lace using a series of knots and loops. Traditionally it is made using a shuttle or large needle.
What is a Dorset button?
Dorset buttons are a handmade button that originated in Dorset, England and is now considered a heritage craft.
Dorset buttons dates back to 1600’s where the first buttons were made using sheep’s horn, fabric and threads.
