The 'living history' of four lifeboat stations spanning an operation of nearly 200 years, yet still all standing respectfully alongside each other was almost inevitably going to grab my attention and demand painting...
...but the longer one lingered here, the more one felt the peaceful sense of space, whilst the intimate details of the patterns in the sand together with the sailing and fishing boats all helped to enhance the timeless air of the place.
In the end, I felt compelled to try and capture elements of all these magical parts into one painting, to try and convey something of the unique beauty of the place and its deep connection with the sea.

SUPERB FRAMED SEASCAPE FINE ART PRINT by UK/West Wales Artist, Conway Rowland.
High Quality Open Edition Print 10" x 8" (25.4cm x 20.3cm) sheet size. Image size is c. 9" x 7" (c. 23cm x 18cm). Dimensions of frame are c. 11" x 9" x 3/4" (28.2cm x 23cm x 1.9cm).

The print comes framed in a solid wood frame with a smooth black painted finish. It can be hung on a wall with ease, but also comes with a stand so that it can be displayed free-standing on any flat surface. The print comes fully fitted in the frame, with a protective acrylic glazing.
The print is taken from one of my original oil paintings, Mumbles Pier - Swansea, Wales
Stunning patterns of water on the sand and the quiet stillness of the boats set off the view of this iconic structure, against the beautiful backdrop of Swansea Bay.
The vast tranquillity and sense of space over the stunning views across Swansea Bay are always striking here, but the little details of the sailing and fishing boats, and the gorgeous light reflecting on the patterns of the sand add a subtle calm to the scene.
The piece is printed by one of the UK’s top fine art printers, dStudio. They have used the GICLEE process on the superlative eco Hahnemühle Hemp paper to produce the finest quality prints of my paintings.
