This set of four Spitfire cards includes designs from my range of aviation cards, all taken from my original oil paintings, created to commemorate the bravery of the pilots involved in the Battle of Britain, 1940, during WW2.
The cards included are:
'A Long Way From Home' - Spitfire of P/O. A.G. Donahue, 64 Squadron, over the North Downs, near Kenley (in Surrey/London), 1940.
'Maida Squadron ... Break!' - Spitfires of 152 Squadron, led by F/Lt. D.P.A. Boitel-Gill, over Bembridge, Isle of Wight, 1940.
'234 Squadron Scramble' - Spitfires of F/Lt. P.C. Hughes and P/O. R.F.T. Doe, 234 Squadron, RAF Middle Wallop, 1940.
'64 Squadron, Scramble!' - Spitfires of 64 Squadron, led by S/Ldr. A. R. D. MacDonell, Kenley (in Surrey/London), 1940.
The card sets come packed in a box with an attractive branded paper band, wrapped in tissue.
Each card comes with a high quality white envelope and is presented in an OPP wrap for protection.
Professionally printed on ultra white 300 gsm card for excellent colour and image quality with a soft satin finish. Single side coating for easy writing on the inside.
The card is FSC Certified, pH neutral, Long life certified, Chlorine and heavy metal free.
