A WONDERFUL COMPLETE GIFT FOR SPITFIRE AND VINTAGE AVIATION ENTHUSIASTS - PERFECT FOR CHRISTMAS!

The print comes framed in a solid wood frame with a smooth black painted finish. It can be hung on a wall, or displayed free-standing on any flat surface. The print comes fully fitted in the frame, with a protective acrylic glazing.

This print is taken from one of my original oil paintings, created to commemorate the bravery of the pilots involved in the Battle of Britain.

'On the 16th Fairway' - Spitfire of Sgt. B. Whall, 602 Squadron, Angmering, W. Sussex, at the height of the Battle of Britain, 1940, during World War 2.

The painting depicts Whall's aircraft in combat mid afternoon on the 18th August 1940. Whall is turning back to the fight; visible below is the Stuka that he has just caused to force land on the 16th Fairway of Ham Manor Golf Course (near Angmering, W. Sussex). Angmering village can be seen just below the Spitfire's wing.

The piece is printed by one of the UK’s top fine art printers, dStudio. They have used the GICLEE process on the superlative eco Hahnemühle Hemp paper to produce the finest quality prints of my paintings.
