This watercolour painting began as a book illustration for a book published originally for Black and Son Ltd. My book was entitled "The Acorn's Story" which was based on the life cycle of an oak tree, this one showing the oak tree as very old tree. I have always loved oak trees and the creatures who rely on them. I have supervised the printing and reproduction of this print to ensure it accurately conveys the spirit of the piece.
