Full description

One of a kind Fine Silver and 24ct gold Necklace. I have handmade this necklace using eco-friendly silver metal clay and 24ct gold. I texture and shape the clay, refine then kiln fire. The result is solid 999 fine silver. I then fuse the 24ct gold foil to the silver using an ancient Korean gilding technique called Keum boo. The surface texture and application of the gold foil are done by hand resulting in a bespoke design.

Silver metal clay is manufactured from 100% recycled scrap silver from medical, electronic, automotive and many other industries. What makes it a magical material to use is it's versatility and ease to texture and mould just like any other clay. After shaping, drying and firing the final result is solid hallmark quality silver.

If you like what you see and would like to create your own silver metal clay jewellery, please check out my shop for details of workshops I run.
