Full description
A greetings card based on an original illustration from Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' (Act 3, scene 5) when Juliet is trying to convince Romeo to stay with her, arguing it is not yet morning, the bird song he can hear is the nightly nightingale, not the lark.
Juliet: Wilt thou be gone? it is not yet near day:
It was the nightingale, and not the lark,
That pierced the fearful hollow of thine ear;
Nightly she sings on yon pomegranate-tree:
Believe me, love, it was the nightingale.
This is the perfect card for any Shakespeare fans in your life, or just those you love.
The artwork was created with watercolours and dip pen and ink. The card is blank on the inside for your own message, perfect for all occasions.
The card measures 143x143mm and is printed on quality 300gsm matte stock with a silk finish. Rather than a plastic film, it is packaged with a peel-off sticker to reduce its environmental impact.
