Butterfly and Tree Stumpwork 3D Hand Embroidery Hoop
The tree has a 3D base, with stumpwork leaves, and the butterflies wings are also stumpwork, so they stand up from the fabric base. Stumpwork is a traditional form of embroidery, which utilises wire slips to create individual elements, which can be shaped, and added to a base piece.
This hoop was created completely freehand, and is OOAK. Framed in a six inch hoop.
The hoop is finished with felt at the back to protect the hoop.
This will arrive wrapped in tissue paper ready to be given as a gift, and will be accompanied by a free Athena Makes care card.
Would make the perfect gift for a gardener.
