My inspiration comes from the sea glass and sea pottery I find, wondering and trying to find clues as to what it used to be.
Sea glass would have once been bottles, windows, ornaments, lights or jars that has found its way to the sea.
In the sea it is tumbled & smoothed by the salt water, waves, pebbles & sand; this tumbling creates tiny 'C' shapes in the glass and eventually it will become frosted.
It can take many years to smooth the sharp edges and frost the glass; some sea glass is over 100 years old.
Sea glass comes in many colours, the most common being sea foams (light green/blue), greens, whites, ambers and blues; rare colours are reds, purples, yellows, pinks, oranges and blacks.
Sea pottery would have once been plates, cups, ornaments, tiles, pots.
No two pieces of sea glass or pottery are ever the same, you can guarantee a unique piece every time.

A cute sea glass cacti picture made with shades of green & white sea glass & blue terracotta piece of beach pottery. .
Made with sea glass from St Mawes, Cornwall & beach pottery from Lyme Regis, Dorset.
You will receive the exact piece as pictured, each piece of my artwork is unique; these make fantastic gifts for any occasion.
Frame - 4x4 inches wooden box frame, painted white, with a hanging tag on the back.
I offer free UK postage on all my work, please see my shop announcement section for specific postage offered for each item.
All of the sea glass, sea pottery & shells used in my work is authentic & has been found by me on my local beaches in Cornwall & on trips to beaches elsewhere in the UK - I try and let you know which beaches the treasures have been found on & if I can I'll add a picture of the piece, or similar, as I found it on the beach.
I do not alter the sea glass, except to carefully drill a hole when making jewellery & keyrings, each piece is shaped & smoothed naturally by the sea, sand & waves, this means that no two pieces are ever exactly the same & each piece is unique.
I take pictures in natural light to try and give the truest representation of the colours of the sea glass.
I keep my work as plastic free as I can, using recycled high quality card, compostable biofilms & recycled postage packaging.
Custom orders are always welcome, please send me a message.
